Drury Lane Theatrical Productions, Burlington’s premiere musical theatre is set to launch its 50th season. This milestone season is a testament to Drury Lane Theatre's dedication to providing high-quality entertainment to audiences for over five decades. The theatre has a long history of producing some of the most beloved musicals in the world, and this season promises to be no exception.


With a diverse lineup of innovative shows scheduled for the 50th season, Drury Lane Theatre is sure to have something for everyone while the boundaries of musical theatre. From classic musicals like "
Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn”, “Beauty & The Beast Christmas Pantomime; Drury Lane’s signature annual “Music Hall” and the spring offering of “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” there is truly something for every theatre-goer to enjoy. In fact you may want to consider the 3-SHOW Series offering a $21 saving!


Drury Lane is known for its top-notch production values, including lavish costumes, stunning sets, and talented performers, ensuring that each production is a truly unforgettable experience.


Additionally, the theatre has expanded 

Drury Lane PLUS, a special live performance fundraising series with Anne Marie Scheffler’s comedy MILF and Juno Award winning Blue’s artist Steve Strongman in the line up for September and January.

 

Of course what would a 50th Anniversary be without some highlights from the past. In addition to Music Hall reminiscing about some of the last 148 productions, the anniversary season will include  a series  Nostalgia Events and a Gala 50th Celebration that will help us acknowledge these wonderful past fifty years. 


In addition to its mainstage productions, Drury Lane Theatre also offers a variety of educational programs and community outreach initiatives including theatre workshops and our annual
Young Artist Competition.  These programs help to inspire the next generation of theatre-lovers and foster a love of the performing arts in the local community. 


By providing opportunities for young people to engage with Drury Lane, a meaningful engagement with the performing arts, is ensuring that the musical theatre will continue to thrive in Burlington for years to come.

Looking to get involved with Drury Lane but not sure that you can make the commitment for an entire rehearsal process or show run? Maybe you just want to learn more about some of the behind the scenes aspects of the theatre. Our technical teams and stage crew are looking for volunteers to register for a mailing list when work is available. Whether you are willing to help paint, build, or focus some lights we would love to have you on the list of people we can reach out to. No experience necessary, just a willingness to be a part of the fun! August 2, 2025 The Nominating Committee has been set: Members: Michael Belton, Rick MacKenzie The Nominating Committee is responsible for preparing a slate of proposed directors to be presented to the membership at the Drury Lane Annual General Meeting, ensuring at least one Drury Lane Member is willing to stand for each Board position up for election that year. Please ensure your membership is up-to-date. The positions up for election this year are: Vice-President (two-year term) — Incumbent: Rick MacKenzie, seeking re-election Secretary (one-year term) - filling a vacancy Treasurer (two-year term) — Incumbent: Joanne Warren, seeking re-election Artistic Director (two-year term) — Incumbent: Carol MacKenzie, willing to stand for re-election only if no other candidates run. Director at Large (two-year term) — Incumbent: Carrie Mines, seeking re-election Director at Large (two-year term) — Incumbent: Jennifer McLennan, seeking re-election. Now it’s time to gather nominations — and this is where you, our members, come in. If you or someone you know would be a great fit for one of these positions, please email either Michael Belton - mbelton@cogeco.ca - or Rick MacKenzie - rick.mackenzie@drurylane.ca.ca Include the position, the nominee’s name, their email and phone number, and a brief description of their qualifications.
