The heroes of Drury Lane Theatre are our Volunteers. Drury Lane is Burlington’s premiere musical theatre company connecting with well over 10,000 people directly in any given year.

Our volunteers provide the glue that keeps all the various parts of our theatre company alive and well, whether it’s creatively, staging, front of house, production, social or helping us bring patrons to the theatre.
Each role is indispensable to creating that Magical Experience we all call “Musical Theatre”.

Why Volunteer at Drury Lane?

We've got many starring roles behind the scenes including:

  • Ushers - Guides attendees to their assigned seats and table bussing after the performance
  • Greeters - Welcomes patrons and provides general information
  • Ticket Scanners - Digitally scanning tickets at the door
  • House Mangers - A Front of House Manager provides guidance to other volunteers and is a representative for safety and security during the performances
  • Assistant House Manager - Same responsibilities as the House Manager, providing support and backup for busy times
  • Bartenders - Providing refreshments and concessions to patrons, other volunteers, cast and crew. Smart Serve certification is necessary for this role
  • Box Office Clerk - Working from home for about one week a month you will respond to phone calls and email requests for tickers and process the orders. Great customer service is the name of the Drury Lane game.
