Annual Awards Banquet 2003

The Gala this year was combined with a Celebrity Dinner and in response to this a very large crowd was in attendance. Louise Lialiuk, with strong support from Constance Wrigley-Thomas (Flyers and Posters), Janet Simpson (Libretto advertising), Reg Gilmore (Programme design), the box office crew, Carrie Mines and Joanne Walton (Decorations), produced a great evening. The evening's four-course gourmet meal was planned and prepared by Rod Good, Constance and Louise. The entertainment for the evening was comprised of the presentation of several Member and Technical awards, Performance Awards (Illustrated with video clips of all the nominees), musical performances by some members and a dance that was DJ'd by Joanne's husband, Pat Walton.

TECHNICAL AWARDS

Phil Acheson Award: This annual award is in recognition of a member who has made an outstanding contribution in a non-performing capacity.

And the winner is ... Rod Good

Member of the Year: Awarded to a member who has been deemed to have made an outstanding contribution over the preceding year.

And the winner is ... Reg Gilmore

Ken Rainford Life Member: This special award is made to a member or members of ten years or longer and recognizes an outstanding contribution to the many aspects of the companies activities.

And the winner is ... John Jennings

Drury Lane Appreciation Award

This award was made buy the Executive to Joyce Neal in recognition of a singularly outstanding contribution to the well being of our group.
